Widgets
Zuno widgets put your shows and films on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, so you can pick up where you left off or see what’s coming up at a glance, and jump straight into Zuno with a tap.
Adding a widget
Section titled “Adding a widget”- Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
- Search for Zuno, choose the widget you want, pick a size, and tap Add Widget.
To add one to your Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, choose the Lock Screen, then tap the area below the clock and pick a Zuno widget.
Continue Watching
Section titled “Continue Watching”The Continue Watching widget shows what you’re partway through and the next episode of the shows you’re watching, in the same order as the Continue Watching row on your Home screen. Each one shows its artwork and title logo, with a status such as Continue · S2, E8 or Next · S1, E4, and a progress bar for anything you’ve started.
| Size | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Small | The top item |
| Medium | The top item, alongside the next two |
| Large | The top item, with the next three below it |
| Extra large (iPad) | The top item and six more, in two columns |
Tapping an item works just like tapping it in the Continue Watching row: if Instantly Play is on in Settings → Home & Interface, it starts playing, otherwise it opens the item’s page.
The widget updates whenever your Continue Watching row does, such as when you finish watching, mark something as watched, or switch profile. It always shows the profile you’re currently using.
Upcoming
Section titled “Upcoming”The Upcoming widget shows new episodes and film releases from the shows you’re watching, following or have on your watchlist, plus films on your watchlist. It’s the same list as the Upcoming calendar in Up Next, with a badge such as Today, Tomorrow or the day of the week.
| Size | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Small | The next thing coming up, with its poster |
| Medium | The next poster, alongside the three items after it |
| Large | The week ahead with a dot on busy days, and a list grouped by day |
| Extra large (iPad) | The week ahead, with the list split across two columns |
| Lock Screen | The next item and when it’s on, a calendar style date, or a single line above the clock |
Tap an episode or film to open its page, or tap anywhere else on the widget to jump to Upcoming in Up Next.
Keeping it up to date
Section titled “Keeping it up to date”The widget updates whenever you open Zuno, and straight after you follow a show or add something to your watchlist. It moves on to the next day by itself, so you don’t need to open Zuno every day for it to stay current.
If the widget asks you to open Zuno, open the app once and it fills in shortly after. If it says there’s nothing coming up, follow a show or add one to your watchlist and it appears there.
